(Indie exclusive, blue vinyl) The Sixth album from Grammy Award winner and acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Jack White features a sound reminiscent of White's early White Stripes albums, fusing punk, blues and garage rock into a raw musical stew.
No Name, American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jack White's sixth studio album, showcases his signature garage rock, blues rock, and punk blues fusion. Written, recorded and produced by White at Third Man Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. In an innovative marketing move, White initially distributed the album through unmarked vinyl records secretly included with purchases at Third Man Records stores in Detroit, London, and Nashville. He also sold a number of copies at his live shows before announcing the album's official title, No Name and its wide release. This unconventional approach has garnered attention from various media outlets.
While critics have praised No Name for its return to White's blues and garage roots, drawing favourable comparisons to his work with the White Stripes, it debuted at number 130 on the Billboard 200, marking the lowest entry of his albums, a position attributed to its unique release strategy.
Pressed on an indie exclusive blue vinyl, released via Third Man records in 2024.
