Suki Waterhouse's 2024 double-LP, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, showcases her versatility and depth as an artist. The album blends various genres—including folky Americana, '90s alternative, indie, and otherworldly pop—with Waterhouse’s distinctive honeyed vocals and evocative storytelling. It serves as an exploration of raw, personal truths and transformations. The album's title and theme were inspired by the sparkle muffin spider.
Memoir of a Sparklemuffin was recorded during the final months of Waterhouses's pregnancy, the album features collaborations with prominent artists and producers such as Eli Hirsch, Jonathan Rado, and Brad Cook. With 18 tracks, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin includes standout singles like “Supersad”, “To Get You”, “Blackout Drunk” and “Gateway Drug” each showcasing different facets of her musical journey.
