More than ten years before the word neo-soul was first uttered in the basement of a dingy Brooklyn recording studio. Sade was making music that incorporated "modern" production elements with down-tempo soul, funk and jazz roots.

Sade's third album "Stronger Than Pride" took their down-tempo soul sound to the next level. Written and recorded over a year between London, Spain, France and The Bahamas. The music is loose and relaxed yet it grooves with the utmost precision.

"Stronger Than Pride" sold two million copies globally upon release and was preceded by five singles including the title track, "Paradise" and "Nothing Can Come Between Us".

This 2024 remaster released via Legacy Recordings/Sony features recreations of all the elements of the original packaging as well as a half-speed remaster, re-recorded from the original studio mixes at Abbey Road Studios.
