Renee Rapp made her name starring as Regina George, the meanest of the Mean Girls, in the Broadway musical and the 2024 film adaptation of the same so we knew the gal could carry a tune well before she officially stepped out as a budding pop star on 2023's Snow Angel.

Unsurprisingly, then, she conducts herself quite respectably on her debut album, a mix of spunky power-pop ditties and alternately angsty and goopy ballads in the Olivia Rodrigo vein that on the whole suggests that, yes, young Ms. Rapp might indeed have a future in pop music. Snow Angel delivers the hooky goods when it wants to on singles like "Talk Too Much" and "Pretty Girls," anyway, so if it feels a bit like Rapp is just getting started here ... well ... it's a good place to start.
