Get ready to experience The Police's Grammy-winning final album like never before with a 40th-anniversary reissue that offers a fresh take on one of the band's most influential albums.
The final album from English new wave band The Police Synchronicity destroyed sales records upon its release in the summer of 1983. At the time The Police were considered by many pundits to be the biggest band in the world. The album was nominated for a total of five Grammys and won three. The album's material was primarily inspired by Arthur Koestler's parapsychology book "The Roots of Coincidence".
The Police: Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland transformed the music scene with their innovative sound fusing new wave, punk, reggae, pop and rock. Now, they’re revisiting their classic Synchronicity with a special 40th-anniversary edition, the first archival album project from The Police. Relive iconic hits like “Every Breath You Take,” “King of Pain,” and “Synchronicity II” with remastered tracks taken directly from the original tapes.
2024 reissue on a 40th-anniversary picture disk vinyl includes an alternative running order.
