MF Doom: MM..Food (2LP) [RHYMESAYERS]
*MM..FOOD* (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by British-American rapper and producer MF Doom, released by Rhymesayers in November 2004. The album reached number 17 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart and number 9 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The title *MM..FOOD* is an anagram of "MF Doom."
MF Doom described *MM..FOOD* as a concept album centered around "the things you find on a picnic or at a picnic table." The album’s titles and lyrics feature numerous references to food, blending common metaphors and double entendres from both the "street world" and the "nutritional realm."
Primarily produced by MF Doom, the album includes tracks with contributions from other producers: "Potholderz" by Count Bass D, "One Beer" by Madlib (originally intended for the Madlib and MF Doom project *Madvillainy*), and "Kon Queso" by PNS of Molemen. Guest appearances on the album come from Count Bass D, Angelika, 4ize, and Mr. Fantastik.
"Kon Queso," initially released as "Yee Haw" on a 12-inch single in July 2003 with Molemen, was re-recorded for *MM..FOOD* with a more relaxed performance by MF Doom. "Vomitspit" is a reworked version of "Vomit," featuring a different beat and altered lyrics. The original release of the album included a different version of "Kookies," which was replaced due to an unlicensed Sesame Street sample in all subsequent physical and digital releases.
The album cover art was directed by Jeff Jank, with a painting by Jason Jagel. The original painting included a blunt that was later removed.
