Don't Break the Oath, Danish metal band Mercyful Fate's second studio album hit the shelves on 7 September 1984 through Roadrunner Records. The album, driven by King Diamond's powerful falsetto shrieking, blends heavy metal with progressive elements, with an intense lyrical obession with Satanism and the occult. Their dark themes and intricate compositions, marked by tempo shifts and dramatic tone changes, had a major impact on the explosion of metal bands in the mid-80s and the development of black metal. 

2024 40th Anniversary Edition reissue printed on ruby red vinyl and released via Metal Blade Records.
