The second album from American jazz and soul singer Lady Blackbird, Slang Spirituals, sees her once again collaborating with Black Acid Soul producer Chris Seefried. Together, they deliver an album that not only captures the free-spirited and emotive essence of Lady Blackbird’s soulful sound but also explores deeply personal lyrics chronicling her challenging journey to musical fame.

On Slang Spirituals, Lady Blackbird carves out a new path. Across 11 tracks, she demonstrates her sweeping, cinematic vocal prowess, from the soulful orchestral fanfare of "Let Not (Your Heart Be Troubled)" and the finger-picking folk narrative of "Man On A Boat" to the euphoric gospel empowerment of "Like A Woman" and the seven-minute psychedelic soul instrumental "When The Game Is Played On You".

Printed on a limited edition clear vinyl and released via BMG in 2024.
