Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Daniel Johnston's milestone outsider record Fun with this 2024 blue vinyl reissue. Produced by Butthole Surfers' lead guitarist Paul Leary.

Johnston wrote most of the tracks for Fun on his piano between 1990-1994 and recorded them in the summer of 1994 at a studio in Waller, Texas owned by Willie Nelson. Johnston was suffering from severe lithium tremors while recording the album and was unable to play the instruments in time. Johnston would show producer Paul Leary the basic chord progressions of his songs and Leary would create instrumentation for them. The album initially sold less than 10,000 units but has retroactively gained a cult following.
