The second studio album by Finnish rock band H.I.M Razorblade Romance produced by English musician John Fryer (known for his work with the Cocteau Twins and Depeche Mode) features a far cleaner sound than its predecessor Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666. Razorblade Romance was H.I.M's first album to chart in the United States, two of the albums singles reached number one in Finland and it won the prestigious "Album of the Year" award at the Finnish Emma Awards.
H.I.M. sold over 10 million albums during the band's lifetime. The band were known for their distinctive melding of metal, gothic rock and melancholic. The band coined their eclectic genre as love metal. After a long career of recording and playing live shows since 1997 the band decided to play their final show at the Helldone Festival on New Year's Eve 2017.
2024 reissue on a limited edition clear vinyl released via BMG.
