The debut album by the Finnish gothic rock band H.I.M. Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666 revolutionized the Finnish music scene upon its release. The album combines heavy metal, 80's synth rock and goth music to create a completely original concoction. The album was nominated for and won the Debut Album of the Year at the 1998 Finnish Emma Awards.

H.I.M. sold over 10 million albums during the band's lifetime. The band were known for their distinctive melding of metal, gothic rock and melancholic. The band coined their eclectic genre as love metal. After a long career of recording and playing live shows the band decided to play their final show at the Helldone Festival on New Year's Eve 2017.

2024 reissue on a limited edition clear vinyl released via BMG.
