Ethel Cain's music fuses gothic-tinged freak-folk with ambient and indie rock to create a wholly unique and twisted concoction. Poised to be the indie world's next big thing, Cain creates music that seems to be the antithesis of commercial but has created a tidal wave of success for the young singer-songwriter.
Preacher's Daughter grapples with themes of family trauma, religion, and the downfalls of the American Dream. Praised by critics and fans alike for its meticulously crafted ethereal soundscapes and storytelling. The album is a fusion of many disparate influences from the melancholic singing styles of Lana Del Rey and Florence Welch to the lo-fi aesthetics of late 2010's bedroom pop.
Pressed on 2LP black vinyl, the indie exclusive version includes a limited edition poster.
