The fifth album by English new wave band Duran Duran Big Thing continued the band's musical evolution away from synth-pop. Big Thing incorporates a vast array of musical influences. Side one of the record consists of tracks heavily influenced by techno while side two consists of tracks that sound closer to post-rock/avantgarde music.

Upon its release Big Thing received mixed reviews from critics and only moderate sales. But like its predecessor Notorious the album has gained a cult following in the years since its release for its experimental style and musical innovation.

This 2024 reissue of the 2010 Abbey Road remaster includes the original sleeve design, released via Parlophone.
