Ire Works is the third studio album by American mathcore band The Dillinger Escape Plan, released in November 2007 through Relapse Records. This album continues the band's evolution, blending their signature chaotic style with new electronic elements and influences. It marks the second album featuring vocalist Greg Puciato and bassist Liam Wilson, building on the experimental approach seen in their previous work, Miss Machine.
Ire Works includes tracks like “Prancer", “Farewell, Mona Lisa" and “Black Bubblegum" each showcasing a mix of aggressive mathcore with more melodic and experimental elements. The album is noted for its diverse musical palette, incorporating influences from genres such as industrial, metalcore, and even elements of progressive rock.
The band produced Ire Works with Steve Evetts, who also worked on their previous album, the album was met with positive reviews for its innovative approach and technical proficiency. Ire Works was accompanied by a series of music videos, including ones for “Black Bubblegum” and “Farewell, Mona Lisa" which further cemented the band’s reputation for intense and creative visuals.
