(2LP, 25th-Anniversary Edition) Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Creed's multi-platinum, Grammy-winning arena rock classic.
Human Clay, Creed’s second studio album, released on September 28, 1999, through Wind-up Records, became the band’s most commercially successful record. Produced by John Kurzweg, it was their last album to feature bassist Brian Marshall until Full Circle in 2009. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 and stayed there for two weeks, selling over 11.5 million copies in the US and over 20 million worldwide.
Featuring hits like "Higher" and the Grammy-winning "With Arms Wide Open", Human Clay solidified Creed’s position in mainstream rock, with the latter becoming their only number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100. The album earned praise for its emotionally charged lyrics and arena-rock sound, with themes revolving around personal choice and destiny. The cover art, designed by guitarist Mark Tremonti’s brother, Daniel, symbolizes crossroads in life and the concept of shaping one’s path.
The album produced four music videos, including one for "Are You Ready?". Human Clay also won multiple accolades, including the 2001 Grammy for Best Rock Song and the 2002 Billboard Award for Catalog Album of the Year. It remains a cornerstone of late 1990s rock, with "Higher" and "With Arms Wide Open" cemented as iconic tracks in Creed's discography.
2024 25th Anniversary Edition reissue pressed on double vinyl includes a remastered version of the original album, released via Concord.
