2024 reissue of the debut album by American jazz musician Alice Coltrane "A Monastic Trio" was recorded at her and her husband John Coltrane's home in 1968 a year after John's death. The album was intended to be a tribute to her late husband.

Although it wasn't initially well received by critics at the time of release, modern reviewers have been far kinder to the album. Many of them praise Coltrane's arpeggio-rich harp playing and spiritual approach to musical composition.
The supporting band for A Monastic Trio consists of Pharoah Sanders, Jimmy Garrison, Ben Riley and Rashied Ali.
This 2024 reissue is released through Verve Recordings on their Verve By Request series.
