"Parachutes" is the debut studio album by British rock band Coldplay, released on July 10, 2000, by Parlophone in the UK. Produced by the band and Ken Nelson, with "High Speed" produced by Chris Allison, the album features singles like "Shiver," "Yellow," "Trouble," and "Don't Panic." It was supported by the Parachutes Tour, their first world tour with 131 shows.

The album was commercially successful and received positive reviews. It reached number one in the UK, where it has been certified 9× Platinum, and peaked at number 51 on the US Billboard 200, eventually earning double platinum status. "Parachutes" won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2002, the British Album of the Year at the 2001 Brit Awards, and other awards. It is the 22nd best-selling album of the 21st century in the UK and had sold over 13 million copies worldwide by 2020.
