Satanica contains some of the band's most iconic tracks, the opener "Decade of Therion" kicks off with a deep, ambient backdrop that sets the stage for frontman Nergal's ferocious vocals. The track erupts with intense, over-driven guitar riffs that almost approach doom metal. The final track, "Chant for Eschaton 2000," is a live favourite. The song builds an intense atmosphere with alternating picked distorted guitars, Nergal’s deep restless growls and a strong driving presence from the bass.
