The ethereal third album from Texas’s pioneering slowcore band The American Analog Set, titled The Golden Band, is a languid and minimalist work. Released by Emperor Jones in 1999, this album marks a moment when The American Analog Set boldly ventured into new lo-fi territory. For its 25th anniversary, The Numero Group has meticulously remastered the album from the original tapes.

The Golden Band sees The American Analog Set shifting away from the influences of Stereolab and The Chills. The band delivers concise, unhurried tracks and delicate instrumentals featuring experimental textures that blend seamlessly. The album captivates with an expanded emotional range, adding a haunting new depth to the group's fragile beauty.
